Gospel means "Good News." Two-thousand years ago, Jesus taught and proclaimed Good News to all peoples. Jesus died to restore our relationship to God.
“Now after John was arrested, Jesus came into Galilee, proclaiming the gospel of God, and saying, "The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand; repent and believe in the gospel."”
We were created in the image of God. The Lord God created everything that exists: the Earth, plants, animals, stars, galaxies, and the entire observable universe. He created mankind to uniquely bear his attributes and reflect His character. We were created to bring glory to our life-giving God.
We are fallen and sinful rebels against God. Adam, the first man and our forefather, rebelled against God. As a result, all of humanity fell into corruption and shame. Like Adam, we seek our own way. We want to decide right and wrong for ourselves. Our hearts are filled with hatred, sexual imorality, greed, idolatry, pride, racism, dishonesty, jealosy, and any and all forms of Sin. We were created to image God, but our sin creates a twisted and broken reflection. Even one sin is enough to convict us of treason against God and a just punishment in Hell.
All who repent and believe in Jesus are redeemed. Jesus began a ministry around 30 AD, where He proclaimed that He was the Son of God. He never sinned, and proclaimed that all who believe in Him would receive eternal life. He was crucified on a Roman cross and was buried. Then, God raised Jesus from the dead after three days, and He ascended into Heaven. Hundreds witnessed it. Several wrote it down. His disciples were persecuted for sharing what they saw. Their words are with us today.
Repent of your sins, making Jesus the Lord and authority of your life. Then, believe that the Lord Jesus has taken the punishment that you deserved.
“because, if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.”
Read the Bible. The Bible is the inspired collection of revelations that God has made to humanity over centuries, all pointing towards the Lord Jesus.
READ THE BIBLE“All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.”
We are called to meet and do life with other believers. Find a local, Bible-believing church. Visit, connect, and find community.
FIND A LOCAL CHURCH“And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.”
